Overview
An education program was running its teaching across disconnected tools — separate places for content, communication, assessment and records. Staff spent significant time moving information between systems, and students had no single place to see their progress.
The challenge
The core challenge was fragmentation. Content lived in one tool, grades in spreadsheets, and communication elsewhere. This made reporting slow and error-prone, and it was hard for anyone to get a clear picture of a student's progress at a glance.
Our approach
- Mapped the real workflows of students, teachers and administrators before designing anything.
- Prioritized a focused first version covering course delivery, assessments and progress.
- Designed a data model that treated students, courses and results as first-class entities.
- Built role-based interfaces so each user only saw what was relevant to them.
The solution
We built a web platform with distinct experiences for each role. Students get a single view of their courses, materials and progress. Teachers manage content and assessments and see class-level insight. Administrators get reporting across the program. The system replaced several manual handoffs with a single, coherent flow.
Implementation
The platform was delivered in phases, starting with the highest-friction workflow — assessments and progress — before expanding into content management and reporting. Each phase shipped to real users so feedback shaped the next.

- Consolidated fragmented tools into one platform used by students, teachers and administrators.
What we learned
Starting with the most painful workflow, rather than the most visible feature, built trust quickly and made later phases easier to adopt.
